Are Focus on Ireland tours only for photographers?
Yes. Our tours are designed to cater for photographers (analog/digital of any experience level), if you are not a photographer then our tours are not for you - sorry.

Are the age restrictions for Focus on Ireland tours?
Yes, we only accept persons aged 18 or over.

What type of clothing will I need?
We recommend that you bring: - Comfortable, strong walking shoes/boots are a must. - Even if coming to us in the summer months, please ensure you have at least one pair of long trousers and a long sleeved top. - Suitable waterproof clothing

Is it possible to have a tour tailored for a group?
Yes, we have tailored tours for as few a two people. Please contact us with the details of what you are looking for and we can organise a specially tailored tour for your group.

Is there any tuition included?
Each tour group will be lead  by an photographer familiar with the area the tour is visiting. For some tours include a tuition from a professional photographer  to provide hints and tips. There is no obligation or requirement to take part in this tuition. Workshops by their nature are centered around tuition.

Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, in order to participate in one of our tours you must have full holiday insurance in place. All photographic equipment you carry is your own responsibility; we do not cover your equipment in our insurance.

What's included in the price of a tour?
The tour cost includes, all accomodation & full Irish breakfasts, ground transportation to/from airport and all shooting locations, entrance fees to all heritage sites, two special group dinners. Please note that our prices are based on each member of the tour having their OWN single room. Should you wish to travel with a friend and are willing to share a room, we can offer a discount. Workshops do not normally include accomodation, however we can arrange accomodation if required.

Can I rent any equipment?
Yes, we can supply items such as tripods, monopods etc for hire for the duration of the tour.

Will my Cell phone work in Ireland?
If you are travelling from the US, you will need to ensure that your cell phone is a "TriBand" phone, otherwise it will not work. If you wish we can also arrange a rental of a cell phone for you trip, each phone has €10 credit and can be easily topped up. Also unlike many US phone companies, receiving a call from the US to a cell phone does not cost anything
