Eastern Promise Tour
This 7 day tour focuses on the East and South East of Ireland, taking in some spectacular lakes, mountains, valleys, castles, a Norman medieval city, Europe's oldest light house with incredible seascapes.

Below is an outline of the tour itinerary:

Day 1:
Collection from Airport and transfer to your hotel in the Victorian seaside resort of Bray, Co.Wicklow. Bray is know as the gateway to Wicklow, The Garden of Ireland. After settling into your hotel there will be a short orientation meeting followed by an outing to some of the local highlights.

Day 2:
You are collected from your hotel and a day long tour of Ireland's capital city begins. Not only will we be visiting historic and modern Dublin, with it's Georgian Squares but we will also take in Europe's largest wall park, the Phoenix Park, with it's herd of Sika Deer. You will find that there is more to Dublin that just a lively and vibrant city as we visit some of the beaches and headlands offering spectacular sea and city views.  After a break for dinner, we will return to Dublin to capture it's buildings by night.

Day 3:
This morning we pack our bags and move inland away from the coast (but just for a little while). After traveling through the Wicklow mountains we come to Glendalough (glen-da-lock), one of Ireland's oldest and most important monastic sites, nestled in a beautiful valley with two lakes, we find ancient ruins and a round tower. After spending time here we travel on to see the lakes of Blessington, with more panoramic views. We finish our day arriving in the historic city of Kilkenny in a hotel located near great shooting locations.

Day 4:
This morning we find ourselves in Kilkenny, with so much to photograph here it is only right to spend the day walking this compact Norman city. A magnificent Castle, river walks, park land, slips (narrow medieval streets) and wonderful architecture. Included is a tour of Kilkenny castle (for those who wish to soak up some history), while those preferring to stick with photography will find more than enough to occupy them in the grounds of the castle. After a busy day, it's time to unwind with a group dinner (included in tour cost) at a wonderful restaurant serving a fine selection, including some modern twists on traditional Irish fair.

Day 5:
We are back on the road this morning heading further south first to Clonmel and on to Cahir, stopping for some images of one of Ireland's finest castles. Then we continue south through the "Vee Gap" providing more incredible landscapes where the Galtee and Knockmeeldown mountains meet. After a lunch in the beautiful town of Lismore we turn east, now in Co.Waterford stopping at the Mahon falls and end our day at our luxurious star hotel.

Day 6:
After leaving our luxurious hotel, we continue east across the river Suir by ferry to reach Co.Wexford and the amazing Hook pennisula. Hook is unique in Ireland as it is a long flat pennisula with incredible beaches and seascapes. We travel to the tip of the pennisula to visit Hook Head, the site of Europe's oldest Lighthouse. An optional tour is included if you can tear yourself away from the fantastic scenery and photo opportunities.. We travel north and east now, stopping at some historic sites and often the beaten track picturesque villages and then onwards back to Co.Wicklow to reach Bray.

Day 7:
